AADV   "AUGMENTATION" AND "DIRECTIONING" VANES of "G MODEL" WIND TURBINE

AADV is a group of vanes which can able to augment the wind power (AUGMENTATION) and also have capablity of finding the correct direction toward the wind . (SELF DIRECTIONING)
 
Augmentation is realized by a special type of diffuser called AADV (Augmentation And Directioning Vanes)
AADV is also capable of finding the correct direction of the wind streams.

COMPARISON:

Comparing with the DARRIEUS blades alone, the combination with AADV, inner DARRIEUS blades can able to produce more RPM and more power.

Augmentation effect can be realized with the combination of  AADV blades (Augmentation And Directioning Vanes).  

RESULTS:

 
All vertical wind turbines can be able to revolve easily independent  from the wind direction.
It is interesting that  when diffusers used with VERTICAL WIND TURBINES, there is occured a vital requirement using  mechanical adjustment to the correct direction of wind streams .

DIRECTION  FINDING IS A NECESSITY  WITH  DIFFUSER  WIND TURBINES.
GMWT and Automatic direction finding:
The outer three AADV vanes (Augmentation And Directioning Vanes)  have  function to find the correct direction of the wind streams.
DIRECTIONING PRINCIPLE:
1) from the wind direction,
2) to the nearist  AADV's "escape edge".
3) to the center of the turbine,
4)  to the next AADV's "attack edge"
