UNDERSTANDING "SELF STARTING" capability of  "G"Model Wind Turbine (GMWT)

Generally all vertical wind turbines can able to revolve independent from the wind direction.
It is interesting that when diffusers used with VERTICAL WIND TURBINES, it will become vital requirement using  mechanical adjustment to find the correct  wind direction.
GMWT and Automatic direction finding:
GMWT is a special type of diffuser wind turbine. The outer three AADV blades have  function to find the correct direction of the wind streams.
DIRECTIONING PRINCIPLE:
1) from the wind direction,
2) to the nearest  AADV's "escape edge".
3) to the center of the turbine,
4) to the next AADV's "attack edge"

DIRECTIONING  TO THE WIND  IS REALIZED VERY KEEN  AND  AUTOMATICALLY

Augmentation is realized by a special type of diffuser called AADV (Augmentation And Directioning Vanes)
AADV is also capable of finding the correct direction of the wind streams.

COMPARISON:

Comparing with the DARRIEUS blades alone, the combination with AADV, inner DARRIEUS blades can able to produce more RPM and more power.

Augmentation effect can be realized with the combination of  AADV blades (Augmentation And Directioning Vanes).  

RESULTS:
